Serena

Serena Syed Hussain is first and foremost a bedroom creative and artist - still as curious and creative as she was when she was 12yrs old. Now with more than 20 professional years in media, content creation, and communications she is taking her strategic consulting offering to new levels with her recent pursuit with an MSC in Systems Thinking.

Her aim is to demonstrate the 'bricoleur mindset' where she uses her interdisciplinary approach, reflexive manner, and zoomed out critical thinking to foster innovative solutions and meaningful engagement. A qualified yoga teacher, dancer/choreographer, and budding musician, Serena's creativity also extends into abstract art where she expresses her vision through acrylics and water colour on canvass.

Serena's holistic approach to life and work has been enriched by being an adoptive parent to her now teenaged child. This significant experience has pushed Serena inteo even more non-conformity in both personal and professional spheres.

Currently close to completing a Masters in Science (MSC) in Systems Thinking, Serena merges her academic pursuits with her professional life as a chartered communications professional. She was honoured to be selected as one of two finalists for the position of President at the Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR) but chose to step back to focus on her new initiative 'Serena's Playbook', academic research, and ambition to launch her interdisciplinary think tank 'Puck's House'.

Her life mission is to bring together a diversity of disciplines and ideas from academics, artists, thinkers, and changemakers, and aim to capture and leverage the insights from these collaborations for impactful change and innovation through research and policy.

Beyond the think tank Serena extends her influence through Huss Art House, a production house which produces and publishes all her content endeavours including the educational channel 'Serena's Playbook' on YouTube and TikTok. The objective is to provide strategic thought and value for students, leaders, and entrepreneurs to spark action and results.

Serena is known as a media and politics commentator on YouTube and Twitch where she notoriously sits on the fence for most issues insisting on a systems thinking approach to sociopolitical issues whilst weaving in comedy for her audience of engaged watchers and listeners.

Recognising the importance of transparency, brand and community building, and embracing all digital media, Serena also shares personal accounts on her YouTube channel 'Serena Holistic Being'.
