Puck's House

Puck's House

Puck's House is an interdisciplinary institute where diverse disciplines converge to spark innovation and systemic change. We create collaborative space for academics, artists, thinkers, and changemakers to explore complex challenges through research, dialogue, and creative experimentation.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between thought and action - transforming insights into research, policy, and accessible content that empowers individuals and communities to navigate complexity with creativity and critical thinking.

Through our work and our creative media arm, Life Vocabulary, we ensure that valuable ideas don't remain in isolation but become catalysts for meaningful change.

Serena Syed Hussain, Director of Puck's House

As Director of Puck's House, Serena Syed Hussain brings her unique bricoleur mindset to foster an environment where interdisciplinary collaboration thrives. Drawing on her 20+ years in media and communications, her systems thinking expertise, and her lived experience as an artist and adoptive parent, Serena curates spaces where academics, creatives, and changemakers can challenge conventional boundaries. Her leadership style is rooted in reflexive practice and non-conformity - creating conditions for emergent thinking rather than prescriptive solutions. Under her direction, Puck's House operates as both think tank and creative laboratory, where rigorous research meets artistic expression, and where complex systemic challenges are explored through multiple lenses to generate actionable insights and transformative policy.
