"Creator"

The title we chose a decade ago to describe our independently creative work has now been co-opted by the new 9-5, leaving me quite content with my actual and previously resented 9-5. Being a 'Creator' is a 24/7 shift and the algorithm an unpredictable and volatile boss; there are no benefits and certainly no health insurance. The algorithm ensures you burnout and then document it. Nothing more to be done now, can't squirt the cream back up the udders.

This is a short note to say - find substance (not just fulfilment) in what you're doing - without the algorithmic tentacles leaching from your craft or your contribution. We need offline warriors to occasionally peacock on apps and then disappear. It all started when I smashed my phone.
