A lot has changed

A lot has changed

The entire media and social media landscape has changed and will continue to. My predictions:

  • limits on opinions - direct or indirect (you just won't see them anymore)
  • forget who you follow or subscribe to - the algo will serve your short attention span and then whatever it wants you to see and absorb
  • the rotting of our minds and the inability to recover will produce really bizarre content creators

Solution?

Subscribe and pay for more intentional content creators who don't rely on an AI language model to write you a message or produce a report for you. The cognitive rot is gradual - protect it.

I have also changed. Punditry and commentary is all nonsense and dead. Who owns them? They react and parrot the same things over and over. There are some that take the time to do some analysis and suggestion - some real critical thinking - Sabby Sabs is one of them. For now I hope. I hope creators who are doing a good job stay that way.

Me? I tuned out of politics for a while to reflect and do some research. To observe and more intentionally choose to integrate what I think is a more worthy and sensible way forward. Education needs more critical thinking and support. That's one facet. Art and creativity requires more investment - made by humans - telling stories and activating challenges to the status quo. And then there's research - proper research - transparent research. Encouraging others to do the same.
